Beginning in Sept 2015, CATS has eliminated the previous Fundraising Fee and moved to a system of Family Accounts that allows families to earn money from their fundraising, volunteering and officiating efforts that they can use to offset meet fees and expenses.
HOW TO EARN MONEY INTO YOUR FAMILY ACCOUNT?
You can earn money into your family account from:
- Sponsorship – if you sign up a sponsor you earn 10% of the value of the sponsorship
- Silent Auctions – you earn 25% of the final sale price of any items that you bring in
- Volunteering – your earn $15 for every 4hr shift you work at club events
- Officiating – you earn $10‐$20 (based on your level) for every session you work on deck
HOW TO USE THE MONEY IN YOUR FAMILY ACCOUNT
Using the money from your family account is very simple:
- On a regular basis, an updated list of the family account balances for each CATS family will be posted on the CATS website.
- When you register for a swim meet you will be able to indicate on the registration form how much of the cost you want to draw from your family account and then send an e-transfer for the remainder.
EXCLUSIONS/PROVISOS/small print
- TAG DAY participation is excluded (except for the organizing volunteers)
- Funds in Family Accounts cannot be used for equipment purchases or registration fees
